Bodhi Health Gets Selected By IFC Health To Expand In East Africa

1. We are delighted to share that Bodhi Health Education has been selected by IFC Health among 53 innovators globally from 20 countries to expand its offering in East Africa. IFC will hold a virtual summit later this year to connect all the innovators to 25 participating health care providers in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda. 3. What could be a better way to practice saving lives at birth than playing a simulated game without worrying too much about things going wrong!
This is exactly how all the 800 staff nurses at Cloudnine Group of Hospitals trained for 9 weeks on managing high-risk complications by competing in the game across all 18 units.

Opportunity In The Time Of Crisis For Bodhi Health

A lot has happened at Bodhi Health Education over the last few weeks as we try adapting to the new reality within and outside Bodhi.

This post covers the changing business dynamics and its impact on Bodhi Health.

Academic institutions:

Most of the nursing academia scrambled to transition to online learning in a bid to keep up with their curriculum and their students. Having no prior experience with online technology, this resulted in technical glitches and chaos among the faculty and their students.
Bodhi has been using this opportunity to handhold and steadily onboard the nursing colleges on it’s MEDLEARN platform thus helping them maintain business continuity. The colleges are clearly able to see value in using MEDLEARN equipped with a comprehensive library of expert-led nursing modules as compared to generic platforms such as Google Meet.

COVID Training:

As the burden on hospitals rise to test, isolate and manage COVID cases, frontline health workers, especially the nurses find themselves in the middle of the storm, ill-equipped with the requisite skills to deal with such patients. This brings an opportunity for Bodhi to train such nurses remotely through expert-led webinars and it’s video-based modules in the areas of

  • Infection prevention and control
  • Care of patient in ICU
  • Care of patient on ventilation
